Who we are
Postcard Pigeon is operated by Przemek Wajerowicz, trading as Postcard Pigeon, based in the United Kingdom.

What data we collect
We collect only what is needed to run the service:
- Names and email addresses
- Postal addresses provided by the user
- Uploaded photos and message text
- Payment and order references
- Basic technical information about how an order was placed: the general type of device (mobile, tablet, or desktop), the operating system, and the browser or in-app browser used
We do not store payment card details.
How we use data
Personal data (including images) is used solely to provide the service, process payments, and communicate with users about their orders.
Analytics
We use a privacy-focused analytics service, hosted in the EU, to understand how the site is used and to find and fix problems with the ordering process — for example, when a particular in-app browser stops photos from uploading.
It runs without cookies, does not track you across other websites, and is never used for advertising.
We do not store your full browser identification string (user agent) or your IP address with your order.
Payments
Payments are processed securely by Stripe.
We do not have access to full payment card details.
When you pay in the iOS app, Stripe's mobile SDK may collect payment information entered in the in-app checkout sheet, along with limited device and usage data used by Stripe for payment processing, fraud prevention, and service improvement. We do not use this data for advertising or cross-app tracking.
Cookies
We use essential cookies only.
Stripe may set cookies that are required for payment processing and fraud prevention. These cookies are strictly necessary and are not used for analytics, tracking, or advertising.
Data sharing
We share personal data only where necessary to operate the service, including with printing and delivery partners.
These partners use the data solely to provide the service and do not use it for their own marketing or analytics purposes.
We do not sell personal data.
Data retention
- Uploaded images are deleted within 45 days
- The recipient's address, your message, and your email address are deleted 45 days after payment
- Orders that are never paid for are deleted within a few days, along with everything attached to them
- After that, what remains is the order and payment record itself: the fact that an order was placed, where it was sent to (country, city), what was paid, and the basic technical information described under Analytics. Your email address is kept only as a one-way code that cannot be turned back into your address.
We keep that remaining record for as long as we need it for accounting, tax, and fraud-prevention purposes, and to understand how the service is used over time.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data.
You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
